Free Party
The Free Party event comes to life thanks to the idea of a friend from my city who is eager to provide a space for local artists.
He generously made his father's warehouse available, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the London underground rather than traditional concrete warehouses. The addition of a charming green area has provided the perfect space for art exhibitions and DJ sets.
Participating in an event that promotes community engagement is an experience that I deeply cherish.
It is gratifying to meet talented and motivated young individuals who are devoted to painting, artistic expression, and creating works with multiple meanings depending on the observer. It is a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in a world of creativity and discover new perspectives.

The artworks showcased at the event have the power to offer new perspectives, stimulating deep reflections in the minds of those who observe them. For me, who only knew the organizer, participating was like diving into a new adventure, a mix of contrasting emotions.
On one hand, I felt great joy in being able to exhibit what represents me, but at the same time, there was a certain hesitancy in facing the unknown and the uncertainty of what awaited me.
2023 has not been kind to me physically due to a herniated disc that has tormented my back. It has prevented me from participating in many events, but the idea of taking part in the Free Party has given me a renewed energy.
Once I arrived at the designated location, I started getting to know the other attendees, most of whom were artists exhibiting alongside me. I was surprised to discover how much we had in common, from our interest in drawing to our aspiration to create new realities in the area, inspiring like-minded souls to join us.
Being from a small town in the province, it is "difficult" to find the resources and opportunities to organize events that showcase one's artistic side. Prejudice is always lurking around the corner, and doors are often more closed than open.
That day, numerous thoughts began to find their voice within me.

Once immersed in the mood of the evening, I felt at home. As I listened to the various stories, I could sense a bit of myself in each of them. The life experiences that were shared were very similar to those I had gone through. They were not just about art, but about life in general, with dreams seeking to emerge and find guidance and affinity with those who had already walked similar paths.
The graphics of "Cosi Strani" captured the eye of those who love the urban genre, portraying familiar shapes and colors. It wasn't necessarily something complicated, but rather a free interpretation of how to live and perceive it.
It was different from my own style of representing what I love, which tends to be more connected to caricatured figures to highlight individual characteristics.

I was fortunate enough to meet a very sweet girl thanks to my artwork inspired by Tash Sultana, the Australian multi-instrumentalist. I noticed that she had a spirit of living music very similar to mine. It was the first time I felt that it wasn't necessary to delve into words because her eyes spoke for themselves.
It makes me happy when something like this happens because I think it's rare to find people who are so similar, and I'm intrigued to discover where this depth of understanding comes from. It's as if the energy of the soul merges with a shared feeling. It's truly fantastic!
Attracted by the music, I approached the DJ set where I had the pleasure of meeting two guys with whom I spent a lot of time chatting. As I got to know them, I felt my inner energies recharge thanks to the topics we discussed.
Music was at the heart of our conversations, intertwining with social issues and experiences lived through it. We talked about the trips we took to attend concerts of the artists we love.
The emotions experienced during those live performances and the desire to experience new ones, perhaps together in the near future, were at the core of our connection.

At the end of the event, as I was heading back home, I was overwhelmed with uncontrollable joy, like a child who has just received a special gift. Meeting like-minded people who appreciated my illustrations and receiving their sincere compliments was truly a gift.
This experience has heightened my awareness and ignited a burning desire to relive similar emotions in the future and expand my artistic exposure with new works.
The evening has granted me a new and renewed determination to pursue my passion. I am thrilled about what the future holds and the wonderful connections I will continue to create through art.
