This collection of illustrations is a tribute to the artists who have inspired me over the years through their songs and their poetic expression, nourishing my soul like never before.
Artists from the past and present, without distinction.
As the late Bob Marley once said:
"The beauty of music is when it hits you, you feel no pain."
Nowadays, there is an excessive use of the word "artist," often self-proclaimed without truly embodying it.
Perhaps it is simply used to emphasize the creation of a drawing or the writing of a song.
In a narrower sense, an artist is defined as a creator of works with aesthetic value in the fields of so-called high culture, such as painting, music, architecture, drawing, fashion, writing, sculpture, dance, directing (film, theater, and television), photography, and acting.
With the advent of social media, like Instagram, this phenomenon has been amplified worldwide. But who is truly an artist in today's world?
In my opinion, there is no clear answer. There are too many variables to define who qualifies as an artist in a specific way.
Therefore, I have decided to gather those who, according to my personal taste, fall into this "magic circle."
